    O Sr. Austin transformou a Starkey Labs, uma pequena empresa de moldes auriculares que ele comprou em 1970 por $13,000 na Starkey Hearing Technologies, a maior fabricante de aparelhos auditivos nos EUA.

    Não importa quanto sucesso ele consiga nos negócios, o Sr. Austin sempre será lembrado pela sua generosidade e crença firme de que o presente da audição pode mudar o mundo. Ele fundou a Starkey Hearing Foundation com a sua visão: Para que o mundo possa ouvir. Ele trabalha com a Fundação em dúzias de missões de audição todos os anos, tendo visitado mais de 100 países para dar o presente da audição. Com seu apoio, Starkey Hearing Foundation continua a impactar mais e mais vidas ao redor do mundo a cada ano.

  • Tani Austin Tani Austin

    Diretora Executiva da Filantropia

    Nomeada Filantropa Mulher do Ano e consagrada na Conferência das Primeiras Damas na Assembleia Geral da ONU em 2015, Tani ajuda a fornecer o dom da audição para pessoas com necessidades ao redor do mundo. Em sua função como Diretora Executiva da Filantropia, ela executa esforços humanitários da Starkey Hearing Technologies, com foco em fortalecer comunidades para criar propriedade sobre serviços da saúde auditiva locais.

    Participando de dezenas de missões auditivas todos os anos com seu marido, Fundador da Starkey Hearing Technologies e Presidente Executivo William F. Austin, Tani já visitou mais de 100 países para fornecer aparelhos auditivos e cuidados auditivos. Seu incansável esforço conduziu a Starkey Hearing Foundation a tornar-se uma líder global no desenvolvimento de sistemas para o cuidado da saúde auditiva, sustentáveis e baseados na comunidade.

    Presidente

  • Achin Bhowmik Achin Bhowmik, Ph.D.

    Diretor-Chefe de Tecnologia e Vice-presidente Executivo de Engenharia

    Como Diretor-Chefe de Tecnologia e Vice-presidente Executivo de Engenharia da Starkey Hearing Technologies, o Dr. Achin Bhowmik lidera os esforços de desenvolvimento de produtos e pesquisas da empresa. Antes de trabalhar na Starkey, o Dr. Bhowmik era vice-presidente e gerente geral do Grupo de Computação Perceptiva na Intel Corporation. Lá, ele era responsável por P&D, engenharia, operações e negócios nas áreas de sensoriamento 3D e computação interativa, visão computacional e inteligência artificial, robôs e drones autônomos e dispositivos de realidade virtual imersiva e incorporada.

    O Dr. Bhowmik mantém os cargos de professor adjunto e convidado, orienta pesquisas de graduação e palestras sobre interação humano-computador e tecnologia da computação perceptual no Liquid Crystal Institute na Universidade de Kent; Kyung Hee University, Seul; Instituto Indiano de Tecnologia, Gandhinagar; Universidade Stanford e Universidade da Califórnia, Berkeley, onde ele está integrado nos conselheiros do Fung Institute para Líderes de Engenharia. O Dr. Bhowmik possui mais de 200 publicações, incluindo dois livros e 34 patentes emitidas.

  • Sara Burdak Sara Burdak, Au.D.

    Diretora executiva de audiologia

    A dra. Sara Burdak entrou na Starkey Hearing Technologies como uma audiologista na equipe de Pesquisa e Tecnologia Auditiva em 1999. Durante os últimos 16 anos, Burdak tem trabalhado para trazer programas de impacto para nossa clientela global.     Chief Financial Officer

    Bill Courtney holds over 30 years of experience in retail strategy, global financial infrastructure and medical device leadership. His extensive finance experience spans across manufacturing, operations, IT, supply chain, and other functions throughout a variety of industries and companies, such as Hertz, Best Buy, Barclays Global Technology and Operations, and most recently, Medtronic.

    During his time as Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for Global Operations & Business Services at Medtronic, Bill Courtney was responsible for financial and strategic support to teams throughout the world.

    He obtained his bachelor’s degree in accounting from Elon University (Elon, North Carolina), and his MBA in finance from the University of Pittsburgh – Joseph M. Katz Graduate School of Business in Pittsburgh. Bill Courtney’s experience, knowledge and attitude is vital in bringing us to a new level of efficiency, transformation and excellence in hearing healthcare.

    Chief Information Officer

    Andy Dulka is responsible for leading Starkey’s Global Information Technology (IT) teams. He collaborates with teams throughout the organization to identify and execute technology simplification, business enablement and transformative efforts to achieve market and revenue growth. He brings over 20 years of experience and knowledge of applying technology to enable business success, drive operational efficiency and develop teams.

    Andy joined Starkey in 2018 as Vice President of Global Applications and brings deep technology experience in the retail, financial services, and manufacturing industries. Prior to joining Starkey, Andy held CIO, Chief Architect and other IT executive-level positions within Regis, Allianz and Best Buy. He earned his bachelor’s degree in mathematics and computer science from Saint John’s University (MN).

  • Dave Fabry Dave Fabry, Ph.D.

    Chief Innovation Officer

    As Chief Innovation Officer, Dave Fabry, Ph.D., leads end-to-end innovations within our clinical audiology department. His collaboration with our engineering and marketing teams allows Starkey Hearing Technologies to continue to design and provide superior products.

    
Dave Fabry received his Ph.D. in hearing science from the University of Minnesota. Subsequently, he divided his career between academic/clinical roles at the Mayo Clinic, Walter Reed Army Medical Center, the University of Miami Medical Center, and several industry positions. He served as President and Board Member of the American Academy of Audiology and was recently elected to the Board of Directors of the American Auditory Society.

    Additionally, Dave Fabry has served as Editor-in-Chief of Audiology Today since 2008 and is a past Editor of the American Journal of Audiology and Section Editor of Ear and Hearing. He is licensed as an Audiologist in Minnesota, Florida, and Rwanda.

    His 30+ years of industry experience and proven ability to implement forward-thinking concepts is instrumental in shaping the future innovations at Starkey Hearing Technologies.

    Executive Vice President of International Retail

    Jeff Geigel has over 20 years of experience in the hearing healthcare industry and a record of success building and leading dynamic, high-growth organizations and developing the teams within them.

    In his role as Executive Vice President of International Retail, Jeff Geigel is responsible for leading Starkey’s non-US retail clinics and teams. He collaborates with these global teams to identify and execute on market growth strategies, investment opportunities, patient experience and clinic operations improvements, and team development. Under his leadership, Starkey’s retail business achieves sustainable, profitable growth while delivering a world-class patient experience.

    Prior to Starkey Hearing Technologies, Jeff Geigel held president, chief executive and many other executive-level positions within retail and wholesale hearing healthcare organizations. Jeff Geigel’s extensive experience in, and knowledge of, retail sales and operations, team development and strategic planning enables him to successfully lead Starkey’s global retail teams to be market growth leaders.

    Jeff Geigel has a bachelor’s degree in social sciences from the University of Ottawa and holds multiple financial certifications.

    Chief Health Officer

    Archelle Georgiou, MD, is the Chief Health Officer for Starkey. She is responsible for Starkey’s initiative to improve individuals’ overall wellness and quality of life through our products and better hearing. She develops and maintains strategic relationships within the medical community, oversees the Healthable features embedded in the company’s hearing aids, and brings hearing health to the forefront of overall health.

    Dr. Archelle Georgiou is a nationally recognized physician, author, medical executive and health reporter. She earned her medical degree from the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and served as a senior executive and the Chief Medical Officer of UnitedHealth Group from 1995 to 2007. Since 2008, she has used Georgiou Consulting as her business platform to coordinate a diverse portfolio of relationships, clients and projects that ultimately improve health and the healthcare system. As a medical expert, she has covered over 1,200 medical topics during her weekly segments on KSTP-TV, the ABC affiliate in Minneapolis-St. Paul. Based on her interactions with viewers, Archelle Georgiou developed the CARES Model, a five-step approach that consumers can use to make healthcare decisions, and in February 2017, published her first book, Health Care Choices: 5 Steps to Getting the Medical Care You Want and Need (Rowman & Littlefield).

    Archelle Georgiou was trained and board certified in Internal Medicine.

  • Jeffrey Krautkramer Jeffrey Krautkramer

    Chief Human Resources Officer

    Jeffrey Krautkramer holds more than 20 years of experience in human resource leadership, spanning across the industries of manufacturing, financial services, healthcare and consumer food and beverage. As Chief Human Resources Officer, he is responsible for developing and executing strategies to support Starkey Hearing Technologies’ success in the areas of talent management, training and development, and organizational performance.

    Prior to joining Starkey Hearing Technologies, Jeffrey Krautkramer served as Vice President of Human Resources at IDEX Corporation (Illinois), where he built and implemented a global human resource strategy focused on company growth and employee development. Additional leadership roles in human resources include service at Dunkin’ Brands, Bank of America and General Electric.

    Jeffrey Krautkramer is actively involved in the human resources community through service on the alumni board of directors for Michigan State University’s School of Human Resources and Labor Relations, and as a member of the Human Resources Management Association of Chicago (HRMAC). He obtained his bachelor’s degree from the University of Minnesota and his master’s degree in human resources and labor relations from Michigan State University.

    Chief Business Development Officer

    Heinz Ruch, a hearing industry veteran, serves as Starkey’s Chief Business Development Officer.

    In his role, Heinz Ruch leads corporate strategies aimed at growing and developing Starkey’s global footprint. He also oversees Starkey’s US networks, Audibel and NuEar, and its third-party business unit, American Hearing Benefits. With his 20 years of hearing industry experience, including his most recent leadership position as President and CEO of a major hearing aid retailer in the US, Heinz Ruch brings invaluable experience, leadership and knowledge to Starkey.

    Prior to moving to the United States in 2008, Heinz Ruch worked in Germany, Switzerland and Austria in executive-level positions within some of the industry’s leading organizations. He is accomplished in acquisitions, new-market entry, reorganizations and turnarounds, and rapid growth and expansion strategies. He received his Bachelor of Business Administration from the ZHAW University of Applied Sciences, and his Commercial Banking Diploma from UBS, Zurich, Switzerland. He became a US citizen in 2018 and is fluent in English, German and French.

    Chief Compliance Officer and Executive Vice President of Corporate Relations

    As Chief Compliance Officer, Michael Scholl provides leadership for the assessment, planning, development, implementation, and evaluation of the enterprise global compliance program. He works closely with teams across the organization to identify, mitigate, and remediate risk – all while promoting Starkey’s overall culture of compliance.

    In addition, Michael Scholl serves as the Executive Vice President of Corporate Relations. In this role, he leads Starkey’s government relations and public policy efforts related to state, federal, and global legislative and regulatory priorities, as well as, Starkey’s efforts to build strategic partnerships with non-profits, corporations, and consumer organizations within our local community and beyond.

    Michael Scholl brings more than 15 years of leadership in both the private and public sector. Prior to joining Starkey, he led a Twin Cities-based consulting firm that specialized in providing strategic advice in the areas of coalition building, regulatory compliance, lobbying, government relations, message development, and paid media.

    Michael Scholl received his B.A. in political science from Denison University.

    Chief of Staff

    Chris Van Guilder serves as the Chief of Staff at Starkey, where he has worked since 2013. In this position, he manages company-wide programs, events and strategic initiatives that impact Starkey’s position in the market and improve employee experience. Chris Van Guilder works with Starkey’s executive team, vice presidents and employees at all levels to provide leadership and counsel on global market growth initiatives, internal organizational alignment and development, change management, and the creation and execution of the company’s strategic plan.

    As a relationship builder and strategic partner within the leadership team, Chris Van Guilder provides operational support and integrates himself within the organization to assess and resolve obstacles to success. By facilitating efficiency, alignment and productivity between Starkey’s leaders and its 6,000 global employees in more than 26 countries, he’s helped make the company a global leader in the hearing aid industry.

    Prior to Starkey, Chris Van Guilder developed extensive experience in communications, project and event management, and team development through work in politics. He earned his bachelor’s degree in political science from Saint John’s University (MN).
